Job Description Were seeking an experienced SAP Basis Architect to serve as the focal point for SAP systems administration across multiple SAP landscapes, including SAP ECC, Portal, CRM, BW, BOBJ/BODS, BPC, and Solution Manager environments on ABAP, Java, and .NET platforms. This role will be responsible for SAP architecture, system administration, performance optimization, capacity planning, software upgrades, patching, and technical leadership across enterprise SAP environments. The position may be hired at different levels within the progression based on candidate experience and qualifications.

Utility industry experience is a plus but not required
Responsibilities
Perform SAP Basis administration including installations, upgrades, patching, support package implementation, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
Conduct system health checks, capacity planning, performance monitoring, and optimization activities.
Design and support multi-landscape SAP architecture solutions and provide strategic recommendations.
Lead Portal landscape upgrades, enhancements, and patch implementations.
Collaborate closely with SAP Functional Team Leads supporting SAP ECC, CRM, and IS-U environments.
Provide technical leadership across multiple SAP initiatives, upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure projects.
Develop and maintain SAP technology standards, governance processes, and architecture roadmaps.
Lead SAP support teams, establish service level agreements, and oversee operational support processes.
Manage SAP support projects, resource planning, scheduling, and deliverable quality.
Provide coaching, mentoring, and technical direction to SAP support staff and project teams.
Develop contingency planning, hardware lifecycle planning, and technology compliance processes.
Support future-state architecture planning to ensure scalability, efficiency, and business alignment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, MIS, or related IT discipline required.
Master's degree preferred.
Minimum 12 years of related SAP Basis architecture experience for Architect level.
Minimum 8 years of related SAP Basis experience for Administrator Lead level.
Proven experience developing SAP technical roadmaps and enterprise architecture strategies.
Experience leading SAP implementations, upgrades, database migrations, and technical projects.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
