QA Tester (Test Case Design / Kofax) - Atlanta, GA (Onsite)

ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Georgia Department of Labor is seeking a QA Tester focused on test case design and documentation rather than heavy test execution. This is an authoring-heavy role for a QA professional who excels at translating complex system integrations into clear, actionable test artifacts.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design, write, and maintain comprehensive, reusable test cases, scenarios, and test plans from business requirements, system specs, and integration flows
- Author detailed test cases for end-to-end interface testing: API integrations, data exchanges, and communication between system components
- Design specialized test scenarios for Kofax capture, transformation, and document processing - data extraction, validation, and workflow routing
- Partner with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and catch edge cases early
- Organize and maintain all testing documentation and traceability matrices in XRAY and Jira
- Perform exploratory/targeted validation only when necessary - the focus is test strategy and documentation
REQUIRED
- 4 6 years of software QA experience in an Agile environment
- 4+ years Jira (tracking and requirement alignment)
- 4+ years test design with Kofax capture and document automation solutions
- 4+ years XRAY (test case management, execution mapping, traceability)
- Solid understanding of testing web apps built on Angular (frontend) and Java (backend/microservices)
- Demonstrated experience designing test cases for interface testing - APIs, web services, system-to-system integrations
- Ability to read technical specs, API payloads, and component interactions to craft precise test cases
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Available onsite in Atlanta for the full assignment; able to start within 10 business days of selection
