Job Description

Associate Director Estimator role supporting capital project cost estimation and planning across multiple therapeutic and manufacturing areas. The position provides technical estimating expertise for projects ranging from feasibility studies through execution, collaborating with engineering, business, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating efforts for capital and expense projects, coordinating with architects, contractors, IT, and multidisciplinary teams
• Prepare total installed cost estimates, conceptual schedules, and staffing plans for feasibility and siting studies
• Conduct estimate risk analysis, contingency determinations, and cost trending using methodologies like Target Value Delivery
• Manage estimate resources, mentor estimating staff, and coach project teams on FEL methodologies and estimating inputs
• Support budget setup, cost database maintenance, and project close-out reporting with actual cost data

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or advanced degree preferred
• 10+ years estimating, project control, capital management, or project management experience
• Broad pharmaceutical and biotech industry knowledge across multiple project types and business lines
• Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and presentation skills with excellent analytical capabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated leadership
• Ability to travel up to 30% across company sites and conduct remote work
